Registered Nutritional Therapist | Gut Health Specialist | Based in Derby, Nottingham & online-UK.
Hi, I’m Helen — a passionate foodie, nature lover, and Gut Health Nutritional Therapist. I help people who are struggling with gut-related issues like IBS, bloating, constipation, reflux, fatigue, brain fog, and food intolerances get back to feeling like themselves.
Gut health is about more than digestion — it impacts your energy, mood, skin, and overall wellbeing. I know first-hand how frustrating and isolating gut symptoms can be, because I once lived with IBS and chronic fatigue myself. It was only when I discovered the power of nutrition that I began to feel better — and that’s what inspired me to train at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) and qualify as a Nutritional Therapist.
I create personalised, evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle plans tailored to your unique symptoms and lifestyle. Together, we work to:
I work with clients online and in person at my clinic in Draycott, Derby, and I stay up-to-date with the latest research through regular CPD training.

Nutritional Therapy is not a DIET; rather, it is about making nutrition and lifestyle changes that are unique and sustainable for you.
First, it is about getting to know you by completing a health questionnaire and a food diary, followed by working together therapeutically during consultations. I will explain the underlying imbalances that are contributing to your symptoms, which are backed up by scientific research. Tests are recommended if necessary through your GP or reputable testing companies.
I work on the principle of nourishing your body through food in a personalised, positive way. We will look at your main health goals, how you want to feel and how motivated you are. I will meet you where you are and work with you to get you where you want to be with compassion and support.
Nutritional therapy is not a replacement for services in the medical profession, and I will often work alongside GPs to support dietary and lifestyle changes, as client safety is the priority. Also, I am not permitted or trained to deal with certain conditions, such as diagnosed eating disorders which will be determined during the initial chat and health questionnaire.
Nutritional Therapy can help give you the tools you need to enable you to reach your health goals. This will involve commitment to gradually make simple changes to your diet and lifestyle which could help relieve gut symptoms such as diarrhoea, constipation and bloating. Allowing you to live a more normal life again with less anxiety and reap the rewards of living a healthier, happier lifestyle.
